wind & tide

Photographic storytelling proposal that visualizes poetry and creates an imaginary universe in which the force of the ocean envelops the mind and

perception of the reader.

*Although the poem is translated on this website version, the rhyme and meaning makes more sense in its original language (spanish)*

The canoe wobbled,

as if it wanted to bring him down from heaven,

and knock him down in his immensity

The spell of the tide was so strong

that in the canoe appeared Isabel.

The sea was a sway and so was his hair,

the air danced, just like him

and the waves imitated them.

Shhh said the stream

while whispering him to go inside of it...

The days passed,

and he never saw Isabel again,

or maybe, she was never with him.

Face up and inhaling,

1, 2, 3....

the scent of the sea guides him,

Let's see if he can find his way home once and for all.

In the eyes she was used to stare,

While he followed the whispers of the air,

and the water splashed on his skin.

Firm land cried out on the 10th,

unknown land,

part of the spell or reality?

He never found out.

The castaway lost everything he ever had,

and almost naked he wanders around looking for Isabel...
